Michael Jackson

Come on.

The guy was a musical talent for sure, messed up family and messed up adult life. Sad to see so much of his talent go to waste later on. End of story.

Why is the US so caught up in train wreck celebrities?

Mozy Computer Data Back-up

Here's another great tool to check out:

www.mozy.com

This is a great free data backup tool that you install on your computer and will store around 2GB of data free. You can pay to receive more storage space, or get additional space by inviting friends.

Works in the background on a schedule you set, and is very configurable to store the data you want, and not the data you don't.

Password Safe

Here's some info on something I use.

http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/

This is a great secure tool for storing your ID's and passwords, instead of using post-its or recipe cards. It also randomly generates passwords for you to use.

Works great for someone on a single computer.

A bit more complicated for someone with several computers, because it stores an encrypted database on your computer, but if you have more than one computer you use, you would have to keep the databases synced up, or you could install the program on each computer and carry the database on a USB key.

I have dozens of sites, ID's and passwords for both business and personal stuff and keeping track of it all is a real challenge. In addition to the encryption protection, having a simple way to create and stores ID's and passwords makes them easier to keep track of, and provides less reason to re-use the same ones over and over, which is a security risk.

Why Can't People ......

I've lived overseas. Foreigners often consider Americans arrogant, self-absorbed, and ignorant of the rest of the world (all true, all too often unfortunately).

However, I wonder if you asked them for a 2 minute brief on the economy, politics and geography of Burkina Faso, what they could tell you?

Why Can't People ......

Why can't people play rental DVD's without messing them up?

How many times do you get rental DVD for a movie that's only been out 2 weeks and it's already scratched and messed up?

Golf Channel in Pawleys Island

Don't forget set your DVR for The Golf Channel on Tuesday nights at 7:30 for Road Trip Myrtle Beach. This is the final episode shot in Pawleys Island until next year. There are 8 more episodes being shot this spring in Myrtle Beach. See how many of your favorite holes, restaurants and friends you can recognize. Vist the Golf Channel website to read reviews and see clips of every episode. I have spotted several of our members in various scenes. Check out the footage from Louis's Fish Camp.....and the party hardy True Blue/ Caledonia members that were rockin' the house with Deaz Guyzs...

Recreation $118,000,000

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

$118,000,000

If you would like a say in how and how much the Waccamaw Neck receives in Vision dollars over the next 18 years for parks and recreation please come to Waccamaw High School at 6pm on Wednesday evening Feb. 27th.

Parents and retirees this money is not only for the kids, these funds will be for boat ramps, walking trails, dog parks, picnic areas, and a community center along with soccer fields, baseball fields and general use sports complex's.

We pay the majority of taxes in Georgetown County lets show the powers to be that we want the majority of the money for badly needed facilities and upgrades to what is currently in place.

A strong showing of area residents will convince the powers to be that we mean "business" and we no longer want our children and their families taking their discretionary income on the road to Myrtle Beach and Charleston because they have "better facilities" and recreation programs.

Fellow coaches reschedule your Wednesday night practice and encourage your team and their family to go to Waccamaw High School on Wednesday night at 6pm.

Speak now or forever hold your peace!

Your friend and neighbor,

Coach Bob Seganti
